Lauren Ellie MacLeod
Hello!
Lauren Ellie MacLeod is an Austin based non-union musical theatre performer.
As a child, Lauren fancied herself as a jack of all trades. Whether it be karate, dancing, piano, swimming, knitting, drawing, gymnastics, or puppetry, she was determined to try anything she could get her hands on. However, once she set foot onstage, she knew she had found something entirely different. It was the first time she felt like she could fly.
Her love of performing from that young age led her to diving deeper into theater during her high school years, winning several state awards for her performances and directing.
She decided it was only right that she study musical theatre in college, leading her to earn her BFA at Abilene Christian University in 2023.
Since then, she has music directed several shows and taught acting classes for CYT Austin, taught private voice lessons, and continued to find a way to put her foot back onstage.
Most recently, she has performed with Georgetown Palace Theatre as Tzeitel/Grandma Tzeitel in Fiddler on the Roof and Anna in Disney's Frozen.
She believes theater has a unique power to bless audiences, who can away with more joy, compassion, and hope than when they arrived. As a performer, Lauren considers it her personal responsibility to help guide audiences to these things.
